New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern has announced that she will not seek re-election and will resign from her post in the first week of February itself. He said that the general elections would be held on October 14.
“Although I will not be running for election, I know that the issues that most affect New Zealanders will be the focus of the government this year and until the election,” Ardern said, adding she still believed the upcoming election would be successful. The Labor Party of New Zealand will win.
